Improving your Mental Clarity is a big part of finding Joy and Peace in your life. We come to this life with a clean slate. Our minds are free from the nonsense that the world sometimes teaches, but as we experience Life our minds fill up with the good as well as the bad. Sometimes the bad can overpower and cause mental fatigue. I know I came to the point where I had to quit watching the News before I went to bed because the stories of all the miserable things that were going on were marinating in my head all night and I woke up feeling lousy.
One of the first things that I recommend for mental clarity is to meditate. Taking time to be quiet and focus on your breathing and all that is right in the world. Mediation can be different for everyone, but I enjoy listening to beautiful music or sounds in nature. The music is calming and relaxing and helps me to focus. Not only does it help me in that moment, but it helps me to stay focused and have better mental clarity during the day.
Sometimes it is hard to meditate because we have so many problems or fears bubbling around in our head. If you find yourself in this situation, take a few minutes and get out a piece of paper and write down all those things that are bothering you. This helps to get them out of your mind and then they don’t seem so overwhelming and daunting. I find that I can meditate more easily and answers to those very problems come as inspiration during my meditative time if I take time to write them down prior to meditating.
Guided meditations are great for beginners. It is a great way for you to be led in how to breathe and relax your body.
This website fro UCLA has some amazing FREE meditations that I have used.
Another One of my absolute favorite sites for FREE Mediation and Affirmations is found at www.thegivinggamefoundation.com. I love her stuff and it’s all FREE.
Another thing that helps me to find Mental Clarity is to take time each night to write out a list for the next day of the things that I need to and want to accomplish. I love to cross off or check things off my list. It makes me feel accomplished and it also helps me to stay on task throughout the day. I have a hard time focusing and having this list helps me to stay on task.
Some Essential Oils that I use to Assist in Mental Clarity are Peppemint and Wild Orange. They help wake up the mind and are very invigorating. Vetiver Oil is also one that I use on the bottom of my big toe (the reflex point for the brain). This helps to stop the excess chatter going on in my mind. It is great for helping me to focus as well. Two other Oils that I use in the morning are Balance and InTune. Balance is a grounding blend of oils that helps to soothe my mind and is very calming. InTune enhances and sustains focus, and supports efforts of those who have difficulty paying attention and staying on task. Essential Oils are amazing!!!
